Recently, President Trump signed an Executive Order labeled, “Minimizing the Economic Burden of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act Pending Repeal.” This order asks that departments responsible for enforcing the Affordable Care Act begin to ease ACA burdens.
What does this mean for you?
This Executive Order does not repeal any aspect of the ACA. Nor does it offer suggestions for changes to, or how to repeal ACA regulations. Currently, this order only supports the power of Congress to begin working on a repeal and replace plan for the ACA.
We will continue to keep our customers updated on any new legislation that may impact their coverage. In the meantime, the ACA is still in effect, meaning that you are required by law to show that you have credible health insurance coverage, or risk receiving a tax penalty. Of course if you have any questions our agents are always happy to talk with you.
