The Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) for 2017 Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans will begin November 1, 2016. Over the next month you will receive your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) from your insurance carrier. Please make sure that you have reviewed all changes to your plan.
Importantly, some insurance carriers like United Healthcare and Aetna have decided to withdraw from the healthcare.gov marketplace in North Carolina for 2017. This change may limit the options for individuals seeking a subsidy or tax credit. Our agents understand the confusion that this may be causing, and we encourage you to schedule an appointment so we can help you determine your coverage options.

AEP begins November 1; however, there are a few important dates to keep in mind:
- December 15, 2016: Last day to enroll for January 1, 2017 effective date
- January 15, 2017: Last day to enroll for February 1, 2017 effective date
- January 31, 2017: Last day to enroll for March 1, 2017 effective date
We understand that the changes to North Carolina coverage may be overwhelming. As your agents, we will continue to advocate for your needs and to help you navigate your options. We are currently taking appointments for the Annual Enrollment, and encourage you to call us as soon as possible.
