If you have a Medicare Supplement through Blue Cross and Blue Shield, you will soon receive a letter notifying you of your new Medicare supplement rate beginning June 1.
What to look for in this letter
- Your rate adjustment is your yearly change due to overall claims activity within your group, age bracket, or inflation.
- If you have High Deductible Plan F, Blue Cross will no longer offer you a Silver and Fit membership. This decision was made so they could continue to offer High Deductible Plan F at a low rate. All other plans will continue to receive Silver and Fit access.
- High Deductible Plan F members can receive discounted gym memberships. Information on these discounts can be found in the Blue Cross letter.
- If you are interested in switching to a different Blue Cross plan, you must make that change in the month of May for a June 1st start date. Remember, we also sell with multiple carriers and can help you switch if you decide to leave Blue Cross Blue Shield.
I Don’t Understand These Changes
As your health insurance agents, we are here to assist you in understanding these changes. We also represent several other insurance carriers and would be happy to provide you with options that will suit your financial and health needs. Please feel free to call with any questions.
