If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan or a Part D Prescription Plan you should receive your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) from your plan provider within the next couple of weeks. The ANOC letter or package will highlight any changes to your coverage and costs for 2018.
Here’s What To Look For
It can be challenging to wade through the many health insurance advertisements you receive during Annual Enrollment (Oct 15 – Dec 7). Keep your eyes open for packets specifically from your insurance company.
Don’t Overlook your ANOC!
Medicare Advantage and Part D plans change every year. It is important to review these changes and to contact us if you have questions or concerns.
When you do receive your ANOC, please review the following:
- Premiums
- Copays
- Out of pocket costs
- Service area reductions (plan is terminating its contract with Medicare)
- Medications covered or being discontinued
- Preferred pharmacies
If you have reviewed your ANOC, and are satisfied with the coverage that will be available to you in 2018, you do not need to do anything to remain in your plan. However, if your plan is terminating its contract with Medicare, you will need to enroll in a new plan.
