If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan, a Part D Prescription Plan or an Affordable Care Act (ACA) Plan, you should be receiving your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) from your plan provider. The ANOC letter or package will highlight any changes to your coverage and costs for 2017. Remember, these plans do change every year, so you really need to review the material you receive from your provider.
Don’t Overlook Your ANOC!
Medicare Advantage, Part D and ACA plans change every year. It is important to review these changes and to contact us if you have concerns, or if your coverage has changed. If you have reviewed your ANOC, and are satisfied with the coverage that will be available to you in 2017, you do not need to do anything. Your plan will rollover in the new year.
Here’s What To Look For
During open enrollment you will probably receive a lot of mail from insurance providers and agents. Keep your eyes open for packets coming directly from your insurance provider (BCBS, UHC, Aetna, Coventry, AARP, etc…) When you do receive your ANOC, please review the following:
- Premiums
- Medications covered or being discontinued
- Copays
- Out of pocket costs
- Service area reductions
